The transformative associations of reflecting surface in legend and fairy tale are somewhat inverted in these pieces, which use the mirror not as a window on the world, but as a ground for fragmentary images. Assembled in such a way as to create fragile domains, the box-like constructions can be seen as playthings, lyric structures or traps.
